Why Kundalini Yoga?

“If you practice yoga
and you and your environment doesn’t change,
you don’t practice yoga.”

Transformation is a natural consequence of sincere practice.

At KIJU YOGA we teach from a true understanding of yoga: body, mind, and soul as one.
Our focus lies on the spiritual essence of the practice and on the direct experience of energy and consciousness.

Kundalini Yoga is an energetic practice that creates a visible and tangible shift after only one practice. It awakens the life force energy (Kundalini) within, strengthens the nervous system, clears the mind, and expands consciousness. Those who practice regularly notice how life begins to change, relationships, thoughts, and choices start to align in a new and positive way.

Kundalini Yoga is one of the fastest and most effective paths to experience inner stillness and the unity with all that is. It combines movement, breath, mantra, rhythm, and music; sometimes partner work, body shaking, or dance that release tension and invite lightness back into life.

It is a practice that reminds us to trust: to believe in what we cannot see, and to allow the divine force that moves through everything to heal and guide us.

Is Kundalini Yoga Dangerous?

A common misconception exists that Kundalini Yoga or the awakening of Kundalini energy might be dangerous. In truth, Kundalini is not something foreign or separate. It is the vital life force that flows through every being and connects the physical and the subtle, the human and the divine.

In yogic science, this life force moves through an invisible network of energy channels known as Nadis. These channels can be seen as the energetic counterpart of the nervous system: carrying prana, the breath of life, throughout the body.

Among thousands of Nadis, three are considered central:

When our movements, our breathing and our mind become balanced, our energy begins to flow through Sushumna: awakening the natural potential of Kundalini energy.

Every form of yoga, meditation, breathwork, or inner practice naturally works with this energy. Kundalini Yoga differs in that its sequences are consciously designed to guide and refine this life force through movement, sound, and concentration.

From a scientific perspective, Kundalini Yoga influences both the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the nervous system in a balanced way. Rhythmic breathing and the repetition of mantras harmonize the left and right hemispheres of the brain, strengthening emotional balance and focus. Research also shows that these practices activate the prefrontal cortex – the region responsible for clarity, empathy, and conscious decision-making – while calming the amygdala, which regulates fear and stress responses. Through this interaction, the nervous system becomes more resilient, the mind more in peace, and the capacity for being in the now, deeper.

A so-called “Kundalini awakening” cannot be forced or artificially induced through a safe and balanced practice such as the one taught at KIJU YOGA. This energy is always present: in every cell, in every atom, in every movement of the universe. It is the same vibration that sustains life and consciousness and remains beyond birth and death.

With continuous practice, this energy begins to flow more freely, allowing practitioners to feel more connected, vibrant, and attuned to their true essence. Kundalini does not erupt or overwhelm: it awakens in harmony with the readiness of the soul.

Some people experience profound states of consciousness after years of practice, while others encounter them spontaneously. This does not mean one is further or higher than another – each soul moves within its own rhythm and path of evolution.

Kundalini Yoga Technology – is a precise and gentle method to prepare the body and nervous system for higher states of consciousness, designed to access higher dimensions of being and the zero point of the creation, where absolute peace resides and where the answer to every question in life can be found. Once this connection to zero has been established, the spiritual aspirant will be able to return to it again and again, in every present moment of life.
