Humanology

Humanology in the context of Kundalini Yoga is a field of wisdom that seeks to understand the human being in all its layers: physical, emotional, energetic, and mental. It is not a scientific discipline in the conventional sense, but a body of teachings, observations, and lived experience passed down through the Kundalini Yoga tradition.

At KIJU YOGA, Humanology forms an essential part of our teacher training. It offers a practical understanding of how a human being functions, feels, and makes decisions, and how we relate to ourselves and to others.

Humanology invites us to look at the patterns that shape our behavior, our fears, strengths, habits, and reactions: and to understand the energetic and emotional mechanisms behind them. It teaches that true transformation begins with self-understanding.

The Core Areas of Humanology

1. The Nervous System and Energy

Humanology views the nervous system as the key to stability, clarity, and inner strength.
Our capacity to handle stress determines how freely we can act and how consciously we can live. Kundalini practices are there to harmonize these physical and energetic processes and to create coherence between body and consciousness.

2. Emotional Patterns and Conditioning

Humanology explores the unconscious programs that drive our reactions.
It helps us understand when and why we close, defend, or repeat old patterns, and how awareness creates choice instead of reaction.

3. Relationships and Human Dynamics

A central aspect of Humanology is how we relate to one another: in family, partnership, work, and community. It explores boundaries, communication, vulnerability, and love. Many of these teachings also resonate with systemic work, where family and ancestral patterns become visible and can be integrated consciously, which we explore in our training as well.

4. Life Cycles

Humanology describes the natural cycles of human life: phases of growth, change, crisis, and renewal. These cycles offer insight into the rhythm of development. Understanding these rhythms brings perspective to transitions, decisions, and personal evolution.

5. The Energetic Architecture of the Human Being

This includes the Chakra System, the Ten Bodies, the Aura and Magnetic Field, and the connection between Consciousness and the Subconscious Mind. Humanology explains how these layers interact, how they can be strengthened, and how imbalances influence perception and emotional life.

Humanology as a Living Practice

Humanology provides tools for daily situations like:

Humanology is the bridge between knowledge and experience – between what we know and how we live. It reminds us that every human being has the potential to live with consciousness, vitality, and grace, and that this potential unfolds through practice, awareness, and compassion.
